I have no recollection of a memory lock button on my P30T. The "T" stood for titanium, grey colour and the earlier N stood for "noir" black.

I have my P3 and my P30T in front of me. My P3 does not have a cable release socket. It has a metal rear door. It is serial number 3139838, and the base plate states Asahi Opt Co Japan.

My P30T has the cable release socket on the left side of the lens mount, beneath the meter-lock switch. It accepts and functions with the same cable release that also threads into the shutter release button of my Pentax ME. Its serial number is 5992685 and its baseplate states that it was assembled in China. Pentax is mentioned nowhere except on the pentaprism housing.

I hope these obsessive details might help to determine when/if there was a change to/from a cable release on these models.
