K5iis auto power off failure

The 'auto power off' function on my K5iis has suddenly stopped working. I have tried resetting in the tools menu using various time outs (1 min, 3min. etc.) and have also reinstalled the current firmware (1.07). None of these have corrected the problem. Has anyone had this happen and if so, managed to resolve it?

No, but a hard reset (battery off, then wait 24 h for all residual current to die) might be required to reset all camera settings.

Hope that the info may help.

It has happened to me on my K5IIs, pull the battery for a while then replace with a fresh one. It worked for me, pass that not really sure.

Good luck
