Pentax K7 front / back focus

Hi all I tried to adjust the front / back focus on various lens on my Pentax K7 & have tried 2 methods . 1 is where you print off a chart & set @45 degree & take photos & adjust the fine tuning for focus point (35 in menu) . The other way I did was the Dot method where you put a lens test card on a wall then put camera on tripod and do auto focus & switch to manual& watch auto focus light etc.( I found this way on you tube).
With both systems I tried I have gone from +10 to -10 ( 10 is the max in the +/- range ) & all seems to be the same including zero.
All tests were done on a Tokina 28/80 f2.8 AT-X Pro lens at both 28 & 80 f2.8 flash & tripod with a remote shutter release .
What gives do may people out there worry about it or what?

Robert - were you using Live View by any chance? Live View uses contrast detect AF and is unaffected by those adjustments...

Hi I tried it both live view & normal via view finder.
Also the auto focus was done single ( centre )

I just tried the dot method with my Sigma 50mm 1.8 EX I used for macro work & found out its range is +10 to -6 so by that settings I have set it to +2 . Maybe the Tokina is too wide in the setting to get any results.
Will tomorrow try my other lens. Have to go outside for my 80/200 2.8
