trouble with K70 WiFi connection to laptop

Hello.

I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I have been having trouble getting my K70 to connect to my MacBook pro laptop via Wifi. I am running Mac OS X 10.12 (Sierra). The laptop does not discover the camera, even though the camera wifi is turned on and able to connect to my iPhone.
Has anyone else found a fix or work around for this?

There is no dedicated software for connecting a computer to the K-70. See this thread for more info:

Only My iPhone reads my K-70.

None of my other devices read the Pentax network.

Can you load iPhone apps on the Mac? If so, try loading the Pentax 'Image Sync'(?) app.

I am happy to see that I am not the only that was assuming that wifi would be compatible with my PC. Pentax seem to believe that everybody has moved to the tablet/smartphone world already.
