Stupid Question - How do I enable MANUAL LENSES on my new K-1?

Stupid Question - How do I enable MANUAL LENSES on my new K-1?

I have shot Pentax for a decade. I shoot a lot of manual lenses. Had/Have a K-20, K-7, K-5, and now a new a K-1.

I shot manual on all my other PKs, but I can't figure out the setting to shoot manual lenses with a new K-1 FF.

I looked at the manual, Googled, went through the settings several times, etc... can't find the simple answer.

I know it's an easy setting, I just can't find it.

HELP!

Here's a link.

I've had the same problem. It's one of those things you use, get set up and then don't need again for years.

Menu C4
24 Catch-in Focus - ON
26 Using Aperture - Ring Enable

I set up only this and all manual lenses work on my K-1 perfect (IRIX 15/2,4 Fireflay, SMC Pentax M135/3,5, SMC Pentax-A 135/2,8)

Catch-In-Focus is a convenient - but optional - setting. If you want to focus by eye and hand rather than by algorithm in the camera (which is quite doable with the K-1 viewfinder) DON'T enable CIF. Just enable Using Aperture Ring.

monochrome: of course I know what CIF means and I use it, you do not have to describe it to me

I only post information for PentaxForums-User, what I set on my K-1 4manual lenses. I think he is knowing about manual lenses on Pentax and he had hardware issue maybe on body.
