The stain on the photos

Hello guys,

Today I noticed this strange stain on every photo from my Pentax K-3. It come suddenly on my photos, I tried with two lenses, and on both is there. Checked dust through camera menu, nothing found. It's visible with high shutter speed.

Any ideas what's this?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah...looks like something on your sensor. The dust-removal function doesn't always get everything. Do you have a blower?

Yes it is! I locked mirror, and there is small dust on the sensor. I cleaned out and now it's ok.

Wow, that's a pretty big piece of dirt! Good thing you removed it.

I used to rely on the Pentax dust removal system to take care of things. Uh...no. It got rid of a lot of stuff, but I had to start using a blower to really get my sensor clean. (Side note: I'm avoiding using a swab on my sensor for as long as I can.)

Frankly I don't understand how camera dust removal wasn't able to "see" this. This is first time that I have something on sensor.

I don't think the dust removal actually sees anything, but just shakes the sensor to remove dust. And, it never works for me so I just use a blower.
