Newbie worried: is my K-3II dust removal not working

I bought my first dslr camera 2 weeks ago... a K-s2. the kit lens was not working so I returned it and bought a K-3II body only instead. I was checking out the D-3II and when I went to the menu to the dust removal option and selected it, it went to a black screen with a icon on it... that's all. When I did this with my K-s2 I could feel the camera shake. I felt nothing when I did this with my K-3II. Is this normal, should it have shook some? Is my knew K-3II dust removal not functioning?

The K3II won't shake. It's a different (and I'll assume better with no personal experience) dust removal method from that of your previous KS2

Also, don't use the camera without a lens, or you'll get dust all over the insides.

... also dust removal is not an absolute. It's not going to produce a perfectly clean sensor all the time. It will certainly help. It's also a function of how often you use it. Think of a dog coming out of a lake - all wet. It shakes and the water flies off, but the dog is not by any means dry - that would take a towel and some time. A rocket blower (properly used) is a good item to use periodically. There is also wet cleaning when really necessary.
