New sigma lens won't mount on KS2?

I recently bought a Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC (Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 DC Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database) and it doesn't fit on my camera. I'm not sure if it is even K-Mount? the red dots don't align and i have to turn it to get it put in but it won't lock into place.

here are some pictures of it:

Can anyone help me? is this even a K-Mount lens?

I think that's a Canon lens. Definitely not for Pentax.

Probably Sigma SA mount. Canon EF wouldn't come close to fitting...Not seeing the pictures BTW.

That's not K-mount. It looks similar but perhaps not identical to Canon EF. I thought the Sigma mount was a copy of the EF mount, but maybe that's just the AF system, or maybe it's a different Sigma mount (I think there are two).

Anyway, definitely not K mount.

Sigma SA lenses have essentially the same bayonet as K mount, but identical flange distance and AF/power contacts as Canon EF lenses. Was the lens sold to you as a Pentax mount lens?

Do you have the box or instructions? There should be an indication of what mount it is.

Alright so it seems like it is Sigma SA mount, is there an adapter I can use? or is there not one available for pentax?

There is no adapter for SA mount. SA mount has a shorter focal flange distance than K mount, so any adapter would have to have optical correction and would act like a tele-converter. SA mount also has electro-magnetic aperture control, so the adapter would have to be able to control that.
