Is this a K-Mount compatible?

Hi,

Looking to buy this Vivitar 28mm 2.8 lens but not sure if it's compatible with my K1000?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Why not take the body along and try it (gently) ? If it won't fit, don't force it.

Definitely not K-mount.
I have a K-mount lens in front of me as I type, and the bayonet lugs and aperture coupler are in totally the wrong position relative to the red index dot.
Anyway the rear element looks terrible - don't touch it with a barge pole.

Doesn't look like a Pentax mount.

Unfortunately not a K-mount. And as Sandy said, the rear element looks very dirty - there are plenty of these lenses out there, so I'm sure you'll be able to find a good K-mount one

This looks to me like Yashica/Contax bayonet. So it is definitely not K-mount and therefore not compatible with an Pentax camera.

It also appears that either the mount is bent, or the camera that it was used on is bent. The rub marks are not all the way around and look pretty Sevier. near the thumb..

See the image below, this is certainly a Contax/Yashica mount. This would be a great "database" to have on the site, like the lens databases.

Regards,
