Does the K-70 Have a Cable Release?

I hope so. Need it for long exposure astrophotography.

Does anyone know?

Thank you.

It uses the Mic.port as I recall. It takes a new Pentax remote I do not have the K-70 but have seen it discussed here n the Forums. You can also download the manual from Ricoh. It should have the remote info in it.

The K-70 supports preselected shutter speeds up to 20 minutes in B mode, which is super handy.

You can also use the IR remote or the CS-310 cable release , I'm not 100% sure on the model number but it's listed in our review.

As noted above, the microphone fitting does double duty for a cable release port. The Pentax part is Cable Switch CS-310. Availability of the Pentax remote has been spotty and as a result there has been a good bit of discussion regarding using various 3rd-party remotes with an adapter. There is a huge amount of information on such at...

You can pick up cheap cable releases for the K-70 on Ebay and they work well. There was a whole thread dedicated to the K-70 cable release a few months back, let me see if I can find it again................here you go About the wired remote control. - PentaxForums.com

Edit: Ooops, just noticed stevebrot supplied the same link earlier.
