Yes i did n it was fine but I move to PR and I just got the camera mail to me from the states I ledt it to my daughter.

my fix of the K-30 aperture problem without disassembly: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

^ You can try this quick fix. It might work for for a while. Might is the keyword here 'cause many times the solenoid is far gone by the time it fails. More than likely you're going to have to replace the "green" solenoid with a "white" one to get it to work permanently.

If you can locate a lens with an aperture ring, it may still work correctly using the aperture ring to set the aperture.

No I didn't I move n it was save all this time

Do you have to turn a ring to get it to focus on a scene?
