Hi
I have obtained a beautiful example of this lense. I thought it had a 42mm screw mount, but no.
This is the lense Spiratone Tc 200mm f/4.5 (zebra) - M42 Lens Database

I have tried with a M42 screw mount and a T2 screw mount(maybe the same mount, I'm not that into this :-))

Can anyone help?

Thx
Tommy

The link you listed says the lens is a universal T-mount. The lens you show looks to me that it has a T2 or some other adapter on it. The grub screws on the knurled part lend to this impression. Does any of the end part screw off? It is possible that someone has damaged the threads which is why neither T2 or M42 will fit. Examine the threads for damage. If the end cap is threaded try it on a M42 lens. If it is an adapter and it screws off, get another T-adapter.

Look at this one on eBay that states it a T-mount lens with no adapter. Notice the difference?

Looks like a M39 t-mount?
There are simple M39 to M42 adapters but the registration distances are different so you will lose infinity focus. Get a PK t-mount (or M42).

Agreed, it has an adapter ring mounted (I own a copy of the Spiratone Tc 200. It's a T-mount.). That adapter looks much too thick to be a T2-M42 adapter - an M42 adapter would only be as thick as the knurled part. It must be for some other type of screw mount.

Hi again
That was quick!
I guess my eyes prevented me from seeing things clearly:-)
I diden't understand that I could turn off the "inner" ring. Twisting that off, revealed a new screw mount. And this one fits perfect for my M42 mount. Thank you all so much for your help!

Best regards Tommy

Without the adapter that should be a T-mount thread on the end of the lens, not M42.

The last picture shows the letters MIR on the adapter. Is it possible that this is a t-mount for a Miranda camera? I thought that they were bayonet, but a quick google search reveals that some early models used an M44 screw mount.

Apparently the M44 mount had a registration distance of 41.5mm, while M42 (Pentax screw mount) has a registration distance of 45.46mm. This might account for the deeper adapter.
