Originally posted by fredwilliams A few days ago, i was shooting my K-1 in a very high humidity environment. I had been shooting for several hours and everything seemed fine until suddenly when I hit the shutter button, and it just beeped at me. I noticed the shake reduction was off, but I couldn't access the part of the menu to turn it on. I messed with it a little, and finally did a reset on the camera. After the reset, everything is now working normally (after redoimg my customizations).
My question is, should I send the camera in to Pentax to have it checked, or wait to see if it starts having issues again?
Did you inadvertently change the drive mode? Sounds like 12s self-timer may have been on since this beeps and also automatically disables the SR.
C20 lets you change the way the 4-way controller works to get around this.
