File Numbering and Deleted New Shots

One thing I love about my K5IIs is that if you want it, you can delete a new shot, and not have the file numbering skip that number. I've tried that on my K3, and can't get it to do the same thing.

It should leave off starting with the highest number in the folder. AFAIK, if you delete the most recent file, the number will be reused, otherwise it gets skipped.

On my K10D if I delete the image in the Instant Preview the numbers do not skip. If I delete after the Instant Preview the numbers will skip.

Are you writing to two SDs concurrently? if so, you probably didn't delete the image on the second SD as well.

I haven't test that theory though, as my K3 and K1 aren't handy.
