What GPS software to use with a k3 II

I just bought a k3-II. I don't have any previous experience with GPS. Do I need to download an app or some software in order to put the GPS information onto a map? I have a MacBook Pro. Is there a tutorial or something I could access to learn about how to do all this? I'm not only GPS-ignorant but also basically non-technical

Basically you do not need to download anything as the GPS location info will be embedded in the exif data of your image files. Some online services may automatically use that info to display on a map where the shot was taken, Flickr will do exactly that provided you click a button to allow the mapinfo to be shown.

Plus, if you're using GPS log function than you can import that file to Google Earth or any other .kml reader and see where you were going, walking, hiking.... Something like oversized sports watch.
