There is a D-BG2 battery holder for these that take 2 D-L150 batteries but I am seeking a AA battery holder that holds 6 aa batteries for the k10D. Does a D-Bg3, 4 or 5 fit the k10D or does the aa battery holder from one of these fit inside the D-BG2 or anything else made to do what I want? Thank you for reading my request.

I am hoping somone might have somthing left over in their kit they no longer use.

I must say the information provided by users is unreal.

can't say for sure but I can tell you that the "AA" battery tray for the K 5 II

and K 3

(Pentax Battery Grip D-BG5 for K-3 / K-3 II)

are interchangeable

have you looked at the battery grips listed under " accessories " above ?

it appears from the description of your battery grip does not offer AA usage

For use with the K10D and K20D DSLRs.

-Holds an additional rechargeable battery
-Holds an additional SD card
-Holds a Pentax Remote F

If there is one, I've never found it - just carry a plethora of batteries, carefully packed so they don't short each other out. That said, I have never been in a situation where the combination of the camera battery and that in the grip have left me powerless to continue.

There isn't one. This option wasn't available until the K-7's grip was released (but it was available for several Pentax film cameras...).

Even though the grip for the K10D doesn't hold AA batteries, I love that it stores the remote. I really with the K-1's grip did this.

Which remote does it store ? My (non-Pentax) one is on a length of bright pink cord, in case (read 'when') I drop it, so I can find it easily.

I have found a zip lock container which is just the right size to put either the battery for the K 5 II and K 3 or the gps accessory add on + 1 AAA battery

Ziploc® | Containers Extra Small Square | Ziploc® brand | SC Johnson

it comes with a lid and thus it is what I use to store and carry my excess batteries safely

I am sure there are other brands that make something similar

Pentax remote F. It's tiny.

It securely stores the Remote Control F. I'd lose the remote in my bag or I'd leave it in my pocket for the laundry if it wasn't for this grip. Pictures below are from my post comparing the K10D to the K-1: Ks, 1s, and 0s - My Journey from the K1000 to the K10D to the K-1 (Lots of Photos) - PentaxForums.com

Thanks very much, Steve (and Derek, of course). It is tiny - I'd more than likely lose it anyway !

There has been a third party grip+addon for AA cells from 2008-2010.
The company Ownuser did make the DX-FBH for the Pentax K10D and combined with two BH-AA AA battery clips, it did give power the K10D with AA.
Maybe you can find a copy somewhere.

And if you convert the D-AC50 AC Adapter by removing the plug from the power plug and soldering the plug to a battery case, you can add this to an modified battery grip.

If you just find a DX-FBH, then you can use the still available AA battery insert and AC adapter for it.
