Broken cocking lever on Praktica LB2

The cocking lever has suddenly stopped working on my camera. It has no pressure now so isn’t advancing my film at all. Not sure what to do.
Any help appreciated.

I have a praktica PL nova 1 its an early model without the lightmeter its an slr it works very smooth bit of vynal peaaling about 1/8" near the hinge on the back door. My first camera was an lb5 it broke then I bought this s/h I didn't even have to use a light meter would just guess apertute and shutter speed and they seemed to turn out ok. No flash mount on it. Has heaps of sentimental value and good quality.

One thing I would do is remove the film. There is also a guy in Tasmania that could fix it
