K-5 freezes when I try to change the language

My K-5 is currently in Polish and whenever I try changing the language it completely freezes. The only thing I can do is pull out the battery. I tried resetting it, but didn't really work.

It could be the usual culprit ''the backup battery'' is exhausted.

With the K-30, the date and time are reset each time the battery is changed or removed.

So your problem could most likely be of the same type.

Welcome to the forum Andrei.
What firmware version are you on?
What happens if you try to set date and time?
Do you have a good, fully charged battery when you try to change setting?
Do not, under any circumstances, attempt a firmware update without a healthy, fully charged battery.
