Dark exposure problem on KS-1

Hello everyone,

This is Max from Haiti, thanks for all the help provided on this amazing forum.

I have a big problem: since a few days, I picture I took with my Pentax KS-1 have a "strange" dark exposure (see picture below) ! I use the auto picture mode, the scene mode, the AF, the MF, I changed lenses...but nothing has solved the problem. I'm an amateur photographer, so I must admit that I don't know a lot of things in that matter so anything you can suggest would help a lot !

Thank you,

Max

* Assign it to "analog DoF preview" first.

Raw/Fx - select optical view - this might work for you.

Thanks everyone for your responses...

I can't find the Raw/Fx button on the K-S1.

Is there a way to do it on the menu?

Set the camera to Av mode and shoot at f22. Basically your camera isn't shooting at the aperture it thinks it is.

I sent my daughter's KS-1 to a place in California and it was fixed for one hundred dollars Pentax Camera Repair - Aperture Control Repair There are lots of instructions on the internet to fix it yourself if you feel comfortable with a soldering iron.

Or contact Ricoh. At least in the US they have been known to cover the repair now and then outside of warranty.
