K500 Autofocus repairing issue

Hi there, I'm a new user

I have finally fixed the classic aperture problem on my Pentax k500.

However, the autofocus is not working properly since that moment.

The autofocus motor runs all the course from the minimum to the maximum but never locks to any subject.

I have not the same problem in live view mode (because of the different focus mode I guess).

I hope I wrote this correctly

Please help me!
Thank you!

Dust/dirt/debris in the mirror box perhaps?

I already tried to clean it, but maybe I did it wrong. Any advice to do it the right way?

You need a manual air blower (not a compressed air canister or blowing with your mouth). If the cause isn't dust, then you may have to disassemble the mirror- that's not something I'm experienced with.

I already tried with the manual air blower. I think I have to disassemble the mirror at this point.

Thank you for your feedback
