Yes, 1.02 was released in
3/14, so bodies manufactured after that time would come with this version (or higher) preinstalled.

For entry-level bodies, firmware updates generally add support for new accessories and lenses. This holds true in this case: the 1.01 update added support for the mark II flashes, the 1.02 update added support for the 1.4x teleconverter, while the 1.10 update added support for the 55-300mm PLM lens.
You can upgrade both camera to the latest version, 1.10, if you want:
