K-30 sensor shake?

Maybe this has already been discussed but recently my k-30 has started what seems to be constantly moving the sensor from side to side. This is clearly shown in live view, but affects photos taken through the viewfinder too. With almost all pictures slightly out of focus as if the camera was moved during exposure. Any help?

Are you on a tripod while using LV? Did you turn off shake reduction if you are tripod mounted? More info on setting are needed to diagnose your problem.

Happens when handheld, pretty much all the time, whether SR on or off. It ticks quietly as the image moves up an down, more on the left side.

This is something that would require repair, I believe.

And if it's power, I think it goes beyond the battery (the regulator or something else)
All in all, I think it's sparse enough to be considered a freak failure, and not a defect.
(I mean... until the day comes out happens to one of my cameras )

...and then someone on the Pentax Forums suggests that there is a place that makes clocks out of cameras...

That was a vintage one, IIRC.
A K30-clock would look... wrong.

Looks aren't important, the diameter of K-Mount is what matters. Besides, as attractive as an LX with a clock in place of the body cap might be, I don't think it will be exhibited in the Guggenheim.

Sorry but no... I could put a KX or LX or KM on a mantelpiece and be happy with it... a K-30 would be an eyesore.
