Light Spray inside Teleconverter

All,

I have a Tamron SP 01F 2x teleconverter. It has what looks like a light spray or fog inside it. Almost looks like it was a mist that attached to the lens. I didn't spend much on it, and was thinking about opening 'er up to clean it. Before I do, any idea on what it might be? Thank you!

Jonathan, it would be helpful if you'd post pics.

They're hard to get, Chip. I'll try again, but I worked for 10 mins or so on a shot and couldn't catch the spray.

Could be anything from fungus to separation to oil contamination to actual water, images would certainly help narrow it down.

Okay! Got some. I think you can see the haze / splatter look.

If it's not on the outer surfaces I'd go with fungus.

I'd have to agree - but *usually* TC's are fairly easy to take apart so you may be able to clean it up.
