In camera HDR with k3

Using Menu/C/1 Hdr capture shows on this but is dimmed to prevent selecting. How do I get to the menu item? Alos whre do I get to set the number of shots to combine?
ANY help is appreciated1

What camera mode? Av, TAv, ? What lens? Trying to recall if I've seen this before.

Try switching to JPG only.

I routinely shoot them in raw+, but I hadn't thought about the fact he might be in raw only.

In-camera HDR works in RAW-only. I just checked. It is not available, however with:

Flash
Continuous shooting
Exposure bracketing
MLU
Multi-exposure
Interval composite
AA filter simulation
Digital filters

Set clarity enhancement " on " and shot it not under sunshine, no flash.
Set HDR capture to Auto HDR.

Camera set to Green mode and only use jpg. Thanks for reply.

Green mode may well be the culprit.* Many special features are not available in "green". Switch to "P" and see if that works better.
