On the K-3 with the HD DA 1.4 TC

Third party 200 for Pentax? I actually don't know of any, maybe check the lens data base.
That bird shot is great.

Yes. Officially recognised as such by Ricoh.
I really enjoy my DA*300 on the K-1.

Peter,
I tried your method to adjust shutter speed when using ND filters. That is exactly what I wanted. It's now my method. I plan to practice using my Lee Big Stopper next week, when it stops raining. Again, thank you.

Hello again Norm,
Are both the DA 200 and DA 300 lenses FF compatible? They are both really nice.
Thank you,
Terry
Yes, both DA * 200 F 2.8 and DA * 300 F 4 cover the full frame image circle.

And more than that, both those lenses can benefit from the K1 built-in lens-corrections in both FF and aps-c mode

Nice shot, Sandy. This is great. Both lenses a beautiful. I will end up with one of them, for sure. I love the idea of the 300mm on a gimbal. It would be fun to shoot with. Ideally, I would get both, but I'm not. Just don't know about F4, though.

Thank you, Peter. And, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I had no idea. Is there a UWA DA lens that's full frame compatible? That would be awesome.

Thank you, Sir. I am happy that it has well confirmed. Now, it's a matter of which one.

Sandy,
How is the 300mm at f4, or wide open? Thank you.

Outstanding.

With the teleconverter. In near darkness. Hand held.

I have had the DA*300 for five years, and it remains one of my favourite lenses. Conversely, I had the DA*200 for one month of daily use and failed to bond with it.

Both are incredible pieces of glass. I ultimately went DA * 300 because of the extra reach... 200mm on a full frame or even crop really isn’t that far out. If you want 2.8 at 200 might I suggest the extremely competent D FA * 70-200 F2.8? That is what I ended up doing and bought the 300 for the extra reach thus ending up with the best of both worlds.
