HD Pentax-D FA* 50/1.4 Lightroom lens profile

Hello,

does anybody is using Lightroom 7.4 or higher version or has HD Pentax-D FA* 50/1.4 Lightroom lens profile and could share it with me?
I am using LR 6.6, couple of days ago I installed CameraRAW 10.5, that is required for this lens profile, but LR 6.6 does not support it. I would like to try copy and paste LCP file manually to the Pentax lens profile directory. Maybe it will work?

Thank you.

Update Lightroom to 7.5. Opening a DNG file in camera raw has the lens profile available.

By downloading and installing a free copy of Adobe DNG converter Adobe - Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter : For Macintosh : Adobe DNG Converter 10.5 you get all the recent lcp and dcp files including the fat fifty.

That depends on what operating system you are using. I don't have access to Windows or Mac right now but on windows you could open the file manager double click on your c drive and hit ctrl+f then proceed to enter *.lcp in the search box. Hit enter and wait for results to start popping up. You could also search for "HD PENTAX-D FA 50mm F1.4 SDM AW" including the quotes to get a direct hit.

I use Windows 7. This action finds just LCP files in Adobe Lightroom subfolders. The fat fifty LCP profile is not there

The Adobe Camera RAW 10.5 is already installed. I see Fat fifty profile, if I open DNG file directly in PS (ACR starts first, there I see the profile, it is available), but no such profile in LR.

This page suggests the files are in

%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0"

What %ALLUSERSPROFILE% is on your system I'm afraid I dont know. But do try c:\users\ with the filemanager and see if there's a folder with a same suggesting that it applies to all users.

Select in LR :

Delelop (tab)

Lens Corrections

tick the box "Enable Profile Corrections"

Check the drop-down boxes below .

this is why you have Fat fifty profile. LR6.6 version does not support it or is not allowed to use it. But I have an idea, not sure, it will work

I use LR 5.7.1 and the DFA * 50 profile works fine there. Simply got it from DNG converter. Using any search engine you'll find lots of explanations how to do it.

I dont know why, but it does not work for me. I have DNG converter (ACR) 10.5 instaled.
But I did it in my way! Simply copied the content from Users-All users-Adobe-CameraRaw-LensProfiles and replaced it to the Program files-Adobe-Adobe Lightroom-Recources-Lens profiles folder and Users-MyUser-AppData-Roaming-Adobe-CameraRaw-LensProfiles folder.
Lightroom works normally, no crash. Fat fifty profile is now available

Never tried. Just a curiosity:
is it possible to use a lens profile made for another camera/lens with no editing/customisation of the profile?
Writing from the phone, I don't have Lightroom at hand...
It would be practical to use a profile for a third party lens made for a very similar camera (like the Nikon D810, that has the same sensor of the K-1).
