Does any Pentax K10D equipment work on ...

Does any Pentax K10D equipment (LI50 Battery, BC50 battery charger, BG2 battery grip) work on the 'new' Pentax cameras - K-1 Mark II, K70 or the KP? I was thinking of getting a new Pentax but wanted to find out if I could use any of my old stuff and not have to buy new batteries, chargers and grips. Thanks.

Other than lenses, remotes, and flashes, no. Pentax has switched over to the D-Li90 battery (for grips and all flagship bodies since the K-7) and the D-Li109 (for smaller bodies since the K-r) and has since used these two batteries consistently.

The battery and grip specs for each body can quickly be viewed here:

I think the only AC adapter is usable with the current cameras.

Welcome aboard. Fortunately, you can use current lenses with the K10D though.

Since new cameras come with a battery and charger there's no worry there. If you buy on the used market make sure a working battery and charger is included.

Yes, I can confirm that the AC adapter for the K10D powers the K-1 Mark II. Also, the wired shutter release and IR remote shutter release for the K10D are compatible with K-1 Mark II.

I just upgraded from a K10d to a used K5.

My p-ttl flash that I used on the K10d works with the K5. I believe that any flash will work on any Pentax camera.

The IR remote (Pentax Remote F) works with the K5, as well.

One disappointment I have found: my wife bought me a D-BG4 grip for Christmas, to match my "new" K5. According to all the documentation that I have seen, the D-BG4 does NOT have a slot to hold the remote, like the D-BG2 (for the K10d) did. It does have a slot for a spare SD card.

You are correct about the battery grip. I find the SD slot to be far more useful in real world situations than a slot for a remote. YMMV.

Right, the AC adapter and wired remotes should work with the appropriate battery adapter (K-30/50 don't have AC jack) or 2.5mm to 3.5mm audio adapter for the K-70 (shares remote jack with microphone).

The K10D shares most of its parts with the K20D, but not the later models which are smaller. As already mentioned, the wired remotes and the remote F work and also the AC adaptor. I believe the focussing screens are slightly different too.
The K10D was the last Pentax to have the ccd sensor and has retained a special band of enthusiasts within the Pentax owners.
