Image Transmitter 2 won't install

Trying to install the Pentax Image Transmitter 2 Updater (2.4.1) on Windows 7. When I launch the installer, it extracts and launches the .msi, but it reports "Old version can not be found," and it refuses to install the software. There doesn't appear to be an older version to download, so what can I do?

The software isn't free. You need to purchase the software then install the update. Pentax Image Transmitter 2 (CD-ROM) 38553 B&H Photo Video

The free tethered version to Lightroom works well. I've been using it all afternoon ...

While less powerful than IT2, there are other free alternatives out there, including Wi-Fi commander, and my own little program:
