Pentax 645nii 75 FA doesn’t focus

Hello team,

I’ve just got a problem with the autofocus in this camera. Suddenly the lense isn’t able to run over all the focus round so when I press the shutter button til the middle is like the lense is blocked in some part.

The rest of the functions in the body works good, light meter, electronic rewind, etc., is this a lense failure or I have to trash it?

Have you checked the lens operation manually?
Try changing the autofocus on and off.
Start by checking manual focus.
Pull the front of lens barrel toward th camera for manual focus. Turn the lens manually to focus across the range. Check this is okay.
Now push the barrel away from the camera to turn on autofocus. Give the lens barrel a slight turn until it clicks into position.
Try autofocus now.
If it still doesnt work, try a different, known good, lens on the body to make sure the body is okay.

The FA lenses are repairable.

Thanks for your answer dude.

It looks like doesn’t work definitely, it’s like the electronic sound but the lense only turn a little bit like blocked inside, I will ask for a technician support

It’s great to read this lense can be repaired!

Had the same problem with mine. A grain of sand jammed the AF gear.

It’s look the same because environment conditions, it could be repaired? It was expensive?

It was very cheap. Don't remember the amount. Years ago....
