K5 Random Date-Timestamp Issue

Recent shooting I ended up with photos with incorrect date/time stamps.. Shot 160 with correct date/time stamp.. then it shot 8 with date/time stamp of 7/19/2041, the shot 86 more correctly, then 2 with date stamp of 3/21/2019 then another 248 with correct date/timestamp. K5 with most recent firmware and -gps1 unit. Never had this behavior before Memory card writing problem or something more serious with the old K5?

If I recall correctly, there is a menu option to have the camera time set by the GPS unit. If your camera time is correct when using the GPS unit but wrong when it is turned off then you may have a failing onboard button battery on the mainboard.

I should think that a card or writing problem would manifest itself with corrupt images as well.

I would try formatting the card in camera or with SD Formatter on a PC or Mac, a new card or a fully charged new battery.
