Originally posted by ChristianRock I would just like to add that not all K-50 cameras develop the dreaded aperture block issue... mine's getting closed to 40,000 shutter actuations (I got it with about 35,000). It does have an electronic issue that shows up sometimes then goes away, but for the most time it's been a great camera and I enjoy using it.
I do think that the K-5II and K-5IIs are better, especially for someone who wants to really learn photography.
Agreed... Although I bought 3 to repair (to resell) with this issue I also have one that I bought from new that I still use that has never had this or other electrical issues. It must be in its 10s of thousands shutter count by now. I'm sure the failure rate isn't as high on the K50 as we imagine. It is a good camera. I wouldn't be any wiser of the fault if I did surf the net looking generally at stuff.
