Pentax KP Shutter issues when D-BG7 grip fitted?

Oddly for me, the KP grip is the only Pentax grip I've had that hasn't given me issues. My K200D grip is no longer usable, and the shutter button on my K-5 grip seems permanently stuck in continuous shooting mode.

To my knowledge there is no 3rd party grip for KP, I looked for any and was unsuccessful

All Pentax originals. It was on it when dropped.
