Yes, all solenoids built into any Pentax since the K30 used the cheaper green Chinasolenoid.
If you want your K-S2 working best, get the white one which I gave you the link for.
This one is the one most common offered on ebay and it is worse than the original!
It lacks the 2 pins facing to the left and right side. The 2 sidepins are used for the soldered connection of those ultra-thin laquered copper wires from those 2 coils of the electro-magnet (fieldcoil-magnet, it counteracts the force of the permenent magnet which holds the plunger). Those 2 wires are solderes to the unright pins instead. When soldering the pink and lilac wire to those pins the danger is
there to hurt those copperwires. I purchased a few of those solenoids: They are s.... as s... can be.
This one is like the one you have inside, but I wouldn't even want it for free.
A used green China solenoid most likely was exchanged against the white Japan solenoid and then possibly
filed/sanded to make it somehow work again and thus those clever sellers hope to make some extra money.
