Focus Peaking on a field monitor

Hello - I'm about to buy a field monitor, like the 'Neewer F100 7'' or something simmilar, for my K-70.
But i have a question, that i'm sure some of you super pentaxians have the answer for.
Does the focus peaking also apear on the field monitor, or is it only the image i will see on the monitor?
And is there other camera information that will be visible on the field monitor?

I would imagine not unless the screen actually displays exactly what is displayed on your camera's LCD.

My experience with the K-3 is that the external display shows what would normally be on the rear LCD. Whether that holds on the K-70, I don't know. I also don't know what display resolution might be supported.

There are no Pentax DSLRs that output a clean HDMI.

You do see everything, Pelto. Very good for you to make tutorial videos from, because all the settings and the focus peaking are there. But of course, they're in the way of recording to an HDMI external recorder, too.

Thanks for answers. It’s mainly for some macro focus stacking work and maybe some astro. I think i will try it out on my computer monitor with a Hdmi cable just to se how it will look like.

@Pelto It has been over a month. Anything you would do over if you had to? I've been considering this but I wonder how this would hold up in the field while doing Macros at home. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Regards,
Rodney

Nothing to be affraid of. It's so much easier to make your focus correct, especialy when you're into focus stacking, of course it's more bulky with a 5.5'' screen on top, but placed on a tripod there's no problems.
