Increasing Magnification on Live View of my K-70

Hello,

Does anyone know how to increase the magnification of the Live View?

I use my K-70 for astrophotography and it I could increase the magnification of live view it will help me get sharper images.

My hopes lie with you and thank you in advance for responding.

Roger

Press and hold the OK button, then use the scroll wheel to change the zoom.

Good tip! I've found I don't need to hold the OK button but instead just press okay once and use the rear scroll wheel. Once you've set it, and half-press the shutter it'll return to 'full screen' view.

Next time you press 'OK' it'll go to the same magnification you left it on last.

Then you're in the wrong place.
If you don't learn something new here every time you log in you're not paying attention.

And one can also set the "Quick Zoom" feature in Playback menu so that the first press is always the same. I set mine to 8X, which, IIRC, approximates 100%

This too. 8X is my go to.

Lots of little hidden nuggets in these cameras. Just have to read the manual

There are many "little hidden nuggets" available in several Pentax cameras. I've learned a few by purchasing the e-guides by Yvon Bourque available here. They are well worth the reasonable prices.

Have been trying to figure out how to do this on my K-5 for ages... I was hopeful but unfortunately the OK button did not work like it does on the K-70. Might be time to read the eBook on the K-5
