Vented Lens Hoods ~ WHY?

JJC makes near perfect clones of Pentax hoods that can be sourced dirt cheap ($2-$3) if ordered from China. Just don't expect a quick turnaround. The last one I ordered took three months to arrive, at which point I had already received a refund for it.

Update, the generic 77mm Hood was no good.
Couldn't use filters or lens cap without removing the hood
So returning the generic
Bought the original from Japan for U$40- free postage
