Does KP or K1 have the camera pitch and/or angle in the EXIF metadata

Does the metadata in the KP contain the pitch angle?

I would guess so... using this tool here on a random image, it's telling me a pitch angle of 8.5 (I presume ) with my K-50...

Check Camera Shutter Count and Manufacture Date

There's a lot of info you can get from the EXIF data...

@flwillis,

Welcome to Pentax Forums!

I don't know about the KP or K-1 specifically, but all of the EXIF data tags may be found here:

Pentax Tags

Look in the section Pentax Levelinfo Tags: RollAngle and PitchAngle.

For my K-3 II, the Roll and Pitch angles are found in the Maker Notes section of the EXIF data. I would think that it is the same for the KP and K-1.

Welcome to the Pentax Forums!

The answer is yes for both cameras.

Using PhotoME, I don't see that information for my K-1. The direction the camera is pointing is listed (as is the location) but don't see the altitude (elevation) nor roll angles. Could just be my PhotoME but not sure the camera outputs that data other than bar graph in viewfinder.

Try ExifTool, the tag names used by that utility are RollAngle (degrees clockwise rotation from level) and PitchAngle (degrees upward camera tilt).

Thanks Steve,
Will try that program. My copy of PhotoME is an old one so that might be why this data isn't showing up in it.
Appreciate the info.
