odd looking file

i was shooting yesterday and this one RAW file come out looking odd. it has reddish and greenish artifacts for lack of a better word. i was using pixel shift and none of the shots before or after this had the same things. i saved it as an unprocessed jpeg to upload it. i have never seen anything like this. i was using the K1 and an older film era tamron 17-35 any ideas ??

Maybe the wind moved the branches while the pixel shift was moving the sensor?

The red and green is due to chromatic aberration. But the double image is I suspect movement between the shots.

I gave up on pixel shift for those kinds of shots. There are always artifacts in the water, branches, clouds, etc.

i wondered but was puzzled i had never had that happen before with pixel shift. i have used it on waterfalls before with no problems. the shot right after that was fine and it was also pixel shift thats what was puzzling.

Looks like motion artifact from pixel shift to me. If you view the preview JPEG, you will probably find that it lacks the artifact.

I'm thinking the same. If you have RawTherapee you can see what frame has the big movement in it and even then you could still use some of the pixel shift ability and do a median combine or try some other options for handling movement.
