Pentax km (k2000) DSLR viewfinder problem

Some time ago i play with dioptre button and strange line appeared at my km's viwefinder .what is solution

The K-m / K2000 uses a penta-mirror. Either the mirrors are "de-silvering" or the "roof" joint has split. The solution is to replace the penta-mirror or have it re-silver coated. Neither solution is very economical compared to the cost of replacing with a used K-m in working condition.

However you may get lucky and find someone who has a non-working one that was used as a donor for the aperture solenoid and would be willing to part with the penta-mirror or rest of the body.

Well that is very annoying.

I personally would probably think about replacing it rather than fixing it. And you can probably sell it for the white solenoid to someone that needs to fix a newer Pentax that has solenoid issues (that cause all pictures to come out very dark, due to the aperture mechanism failing).

Where in the world are you? In the US the K-m is not as cheap to replace as in other parts of the world... they're usually over 100 dollars here in the used market. But in the UK they seem to be quite cheap, a blogger I follow bought his recently for just over £20...
