Large debris showing up in all photographs.

My K-R has a ridiculously huge debris in it (please see photo). It started showing up during an hour long shoot out of literally nowhere. I opened it all up. Nothing is inside. No debris, nothing to clean. Nothing. It's still here. What in the hell is this and how can I use my camera again?

It only shows up in Live View and the photos I take regardless of if I shoot them with LV or not.

Looks like something on the flash? Modifier slipped maybe?

Can you post a shot of a blank wall?

If only showing in Liveview and not viewfinder seems like that would be sensor related.....

Not necessarily: through the VF the lens has not been stopped down.

Same result with different lenses? Or with an exposure with no lens at all?

Use the sensor cleaning function (mirror up) and check what is going on

Yes, it does look like a shadow. A blank wall shot using existing light would be helpful.

Does it look pretty much the same in every shot?

If in LV it is not flash related. And LV only stops down to f4. It is not opaque as you can see the shoulder. To me it looks like fabric stuck to the lens but that would show vf. Is something stuck behind the mirror? Does it change from shot to shot? If it is the sensor it should be constant.

Could this be a problem with the shutter curtain?

Pop off the lens and in bulb mode, open the shutter and look into the lens mount. You should see the sensor free and clear or you should see what's blocking the image. If you see a clear view of the sensor, it's either the lens or the shutter mechanism. Take a photo without the lens on the camera (manual mode - any medium shutter speed which you normally use) with the camera facing a lighted wall or even light source. If the shadow is still there, it's the shutter. (It could also be something hanging from the back of the mirror, but you'll see that when you do the bulb shot).

Take a flashlight and look around the inside of the lens mount and make sure nothing is loose or hanging in that area, and the mirror area. I one had a hair get into that area and it was similar, but not nearly as big as that.

Another thought. What is your light source for the shots you see this in. It would be unusual given the pattern in the photo you provided, but it could also be some kind of pattern generated if the light source is flickering at a high rate of speed and that interacting with the shutter. Like I said, not much of a chance of this, but one possibility that hasn't been mentioned. Easy to diagnose - if you see it with another light source like an incandescent lamp, not this issue.

Sooooo...what happens to flash with extended use? Mine will shut down if they go over temp. The EXIF shows f/4.5 and 1/60s at ISO 3200 which looks very much like an ambient light setting. Might we be looking the subject with no flash contribution?

It's on every photo and there is nothing on the sensor or mirror or lens:

This popped up in my camera once I plug it in. Does it mean there is a ..scratch or something? I opened it up and checked multiple times very carefully- Nothing I can see or clean off is in the camera causing this.
