Repair of carl zeiss jena 135mm

Hello, out of curiosity I opened up this lens and I can't quite put it back as it was.

I have only partially dismounted it (the top portion up to the aperture selection mechanism). There are two tiny metal spheres which fell out but I believe I put them back in the correct place. The one thing that bothers me is that the automatic-manual switch is a bit loose. Any suggestions?

Thank you

The "metal spheres" are ball bearings that sometimes provide friction in switches. Anyway, I have a copy of an article "The Complete Guide to Disassembling and Cleaning the Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm f/3.5 Lens". It does not show the "zebra" lens but I think the mechanics of the 135/3.5 were all the same. I will PM you so I can send you a copy of the article if you would like it.

Indeed I had misplaced the second bearing, now the switch clicks nicely.

If one doesn't know what they are doing when disassembling a lens it's always a good idea to video the entire process. If this type of thing happens again, you can watch the video and all of your re-assembly questions will be answered.
