Purchased in a bulk lot, and seems to be able to hold rolls of 35 mm film, but is incredibly hard to open . Labelled Asahi Pentax, rotates, has a button
Any idea what's this called, model number etc. I've searche dthe data bases without success

Regards peter

It's a film cartridge for bulk film magazine.

Here is the manual for the LX version.

Nikon and Minolta also made 250 exposure film backs. I don't know about other camera makers. Nikon has a 750 exposure back as well.

Of course the old Leicas didn’t have removable backs, but from 1934 to 1953 they made the Leica 250 Reporter which held 250 exp reels in bulges on both ends of the body. A major use was for commercial street portraits of people on holiday at England’s beaches. Companies would have several and send out a number of photographers to work the crowds all day without having to change film. The cameras got a lot of wear doing this on the sea beaches, but some still work and go for high prices to collectors.
