Pentax espio 120

Hello everyone!
I recently bought Pentax espio 120, battery and 35mm film, both perfectly fine. I’m 100% i loaded both of them correctly in the camera, but it still doesn’t work. I saw on the yt video that you have to press shutter to turn it on, and then 0 should appear on the small screen. But it doesn’t. Can anyone help, please?

I would open it and make sure the film loaded correctly (use DX film). Counter should go to 1 if loaded correctly.
Make sure the battery (3V CR123A) is good and clean the contacts in the battery chamber with circuit cleaner or alcohol on a Q-tip.

If everything is right the film will load to 1 as soon as you close the door. 1 will then show in the counter window.

Thank you! I’m not sure how that’s possible but yesterday i heard a click from the wardrobe where i have my camera and now in the morning it’s 1 on the screen. It seems like a fiction story but i swear i didn’t touch it and now it just works haha. Again, thanks to both of you for helping me!

It won't be truly creepy unless you get the film developed and find it's full of fairies, goblins, and such
