Pentax Q7 shutting off and freezing

Hi! I recently bought a pentax Q7 and I've been really exited about trying it out, but seems like every time I use it after a couple shots it will automatically turn off, it turns back on normally but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't happen.

Also I've encountered that when quickly changing the exposure from highlights to shadows makes the camera freeze, and I've only been able to fix this by pulling out the battery, i haven't updated the camera to the latest version since I'm a little afraid it might turn off during the update process and make it unusable.

I've been trying it out using the 02 standard lens and the 06 zoom, I've encountered the problem with both of the lenses

I'm a lil sad since I absolutely LOVE the Pentax Q system, if anyone could help me solve this problem I would really appreciate it, thanks!

Sounds like it may be a battery issue. Is it fully charged? Do you have a second battery you can test it with?

Yes battery is fully charged but I don't have a second battery to test, fortunately I was able to find a generic battery in Amazon and I'll test it as soon as it arrives, the camera seems to be in almost unused condition but the person who sold it to me couldn't tell me much about it. I think it might been stored for a long time without use, do think this might be part of the issue?
