Use an off camera flash via a ttl cord or use lightroom it has that function

The easiest thing to do (apart from not using flash) is use your lens as wide as you can get.

That increases the angle between the lens and the flash, and reduces the chance you’ll get red eye.

You’ll obviously need to get physically closer to your subject, and that has other consequences you may have to work around...
