Vivitar 35-70mm F2.8-3.8 Macro lens, zoom is stuck

Hello friends. I've acquired a Vivitar 35-70mm F2.8-3.8 Macro zoom manual focus lens. It is in really nice shape however the zoom is stuck in the pulled-in (zoomiest) position. It almost feels as though it's a fixed-length lens, no hint of give at all. Can anyone advise me on how to fix it? No: 28402386. Thanks in advance for any help.

Return it to whomever you bought it from. Pick up a Pentax-F 35-70, it's a great lens.

Great suggestion! I did get the Pentax-M 35-70, and it is great on my ME Super. The seller of the Vivitar provided refund and did not want the lens back. So since it was free I thought, what the heck...try and fix it.

I have this lens too, attached to a P30 for a tenner altogether. Image quality is decent, but build quality is not that good.
