Cheap lens but what mount?

Hello!

I bought this lens today for only 9 euro's, not knowing what mount it is.. I assume it is some kind of Pentax mount.

I own a Canon camera so I need a adapter but I dont know which kind of adapter I need.

Can someone tell me which adapter I should buy?

Hi
It looks like Pentax K-mount, also called PK, but it's hard to be sure with an angled photo. Can you photograph it straight on from the rear?

Chinon used the K mount for it's cameras. Your lens should be a K mount.

perhaps this article might be of interest:
QuoteQuote:
Third Party Variants of the K-mount
Pentax made the original "K" mount available for other camera manufacturers to adopt. The goal was to create a universal standard bayonet mount much like the M42 screw mount had been. Ricoh, Chinon, and others produced cameras and lenses with the "K" mount. . . .

Or sometime later. It has a standard K-mount, something still found on lenses made today.

BTW...Welcome to the Pentax Forums!

Iím struggling with the identification of this as k Mount. My concern is that the aperture lever (i) and aperture follower (ii) do not look like they are at the right angle. Normally these are directly across from each other.

See here.

I think itís just a confusing image of the op lens. Some of the images make it look like the image above; others make it seem like the slot is shifted almost 90 deg.

Is the picture just misleading? Some of the images made it look like the slot was shifted.

Chinon made some nice film camera bodies that would go pretty nicely with that lens without any need for an adapter...

You might have the wrong rear cap for it. Nikon F mount and Pentax K mount are vaguely similar. You can sorta, kinda, sometimes mount the one lens on the other body. Not recommended but the same caveat applies to the caps.
