K2000 af

Mu K2000 AF is not working. I have tired with three different lenses. nothing. No motor sound.
Is it worth repairing? or should I just look for a new body?

Presumably the AF/MF switch is in the correct position.

If so, I would suggest an upgrade is long overdue

The contacts on the camera lens mount might be dirty. You could try cleaning them with a soft cloth.

Cost of repair would be prohibitive. Most likely more than a much newer used body. The k2000 was discontinued 11 years ago, so its even possible the repair center would not even try.

However, please make sure the camera is in AF mode not MF mode before you give up. Move the switch back and forth a couple of times and make sure it is on AF.
