Get some Sugru. Put a couple of dots of that on the outside after putting the ring on. That would hold it good, and should be removable with some effort.

Forget about the epoxy, Use this than. Stronger than thread locker, but not permanent.

I had a similar situation with an FA50/1,7, a lens I like very much.

Like the DA-F 100/2,8 Macro (non WR version) the filterthread is plastic and can get damaged.

I took a 49mm UV-filter, got the glass out (easy), screwed a stepup 49-52mm adapter on it, fixed both with elastic black electrical tape (insulating tape) like this one:

Hold very well because one can stretch it!

I use this lens since over 2 years like this and it works fine.

The problem of glue is that then it is impossible to get the front-element out if ever needed!
