IR Remote Control Light

I figured out how to use the O-RC1 with my K-1ii. What I have not figured out is how turn OFF the blinking red light that indicates the IR control is active. Is there a way to turn off the (at least) irritating flashing red LED when the IR remote is active?

You turn it off the same way that you turned it on. Turn the drive mode back to Single Frame Shooting. (It always blinks while shooting with the IR enabled.)

I think the OP means can the light be turned off while using the IR release. Can you not cover it with some opaque adhesive tape, if it is really that annoying ?

I believe 'setting the illumination of the indicator lamp' (not 'illumination button') should do the trick.

BINGO! Thanks! That did the trick. I figured it was somewhere in the menu, I just could not find it.

I should have a great time over the 4th with it. My BIL has access to an insane amount of fireworks and is going to set them off in his yard (they live in the country, so the only people he will endanger volunteered to be there, like me). I'll use the "long exposure" AND the remote to take the firework shots. If I survive, I should have a nice set.

I bought it a few days ago, tried it and it works at over 5m, but a small problem arises, what does the 'fn' button operate and how is it programmed?

K-1 Mark II manual, page 65: 'The Fn button cannot be used'. The same for K-1 Mark I.

Exactly 'fn' is not usable, I do not know where and in which machines it works,

another thing that surprises me is that I bought it on September 25 and the price was € 29 now the price has risen to € 41.90 always on Amazon.
